Coming down the (kansas) pass looking north-west. This pass was the only southern exit from our valley. Our battalion would be about two miles from here, just past the upper left hand corner of the photo. Our service battery was on the other side of this pass (to our rear). This photo was taken just about one third from the bottom. On a foggie morning it was like coming out above the clouds when reaching the top. I was told this was the most steep pass in korea.
