"A boy and his dog" A photo of John with George, our dog. We are up in the hills, standing above one of the deserted bunkers. I think John has a beer. The dog had wandered into our tent one day and stayed. One of the guys said he looked like his uncle george so that became his name. When the battery would go out on a training mission, George rode in the lead vehicle with the battery commander. (photo dated, April, 1954) |
