P-38 Can Opener

The opener is one and a half inches long. It lays flat but the cutting edge is hinged so that it can swing out to a right angle position for cutting. It came as part of the C-rations daily pack. Most of us in Korea carried one in a pocket. Usually, when traveling we were given a couple of C-ration cans as a lunch and needed the p-38. Sometimes when my wife has trouble opening a can and none of the openers in the kitchen work I get out my 'ole' p-38. It never fails.
