Downtown Yongdung-po Well, now we are in Yongdung-po, a suburb of Seoul. After getting off guard duty (on the train) my three guards and I were given a late supper and then we caught up with the rest of our outfit which was staying at a small army camp in the center of this town. All of our vehicles had been taken down to the port of Inchon and we were to follow later the next day. These two photos were taken while we were marching from one camp to another for chow. The city had been fought over I believe 4 times. There were no civilian vehicles and many buildings had not been rebuilt yet. Two of my daughters came from Yongdung-po twenty-five years later.   (continued) Back to Photo Index Page
