 Going to Fair On our way to Valleyfair, we get a little goofy in the car.  [9:22 AM, 3:43] 
  First Solo Ride Lucy's first solo carnival ride.  [10:08 AM, :40] 
  Crawler Ride The next ride was some sort of lunar crawler thing.  We really went at the right time, getting to the park just as it opened—and there were almost no kids there at all.  So there were some rides where Lucy was the only kid on the ride.  [10:12 AM, 2:40] 
  Merry-Go-Round After warming up on the little rides, Lucy tackled the big one—the merry-go-round.  We were just a little worried about her not being able to hang on, or getting scared.  But she hung on great and seemed to really enjoy it.  [10:18 AM, 2:04] 
  Bumblebee Next was the Bumblee ride, which was a little bit faster.  Lucy loves watching this video and recalling how much fun it was.  [10:25 AM, :53] 
  Another Ride I don't know what to call this ride.  Suffice to say we were just going on as many rides as we could find.  [10:30 AM, 1:07] 
  Train Ride And finally, we make some poor guy crouch down and ride on the little train when we show up at the ride.  [10:38 AM, 1:39] 
  Flauta Lucy spent the drive home playing a little wooden flute that we'd just bought.  [1:09 PM, 5:25]

 Lucy in a Swing We went to a park in Edina with a good chunk of the rest of the family to help celebrate Lucy's cousin James' 1st birthday party.  In this short sequence, Lucy enjoys a quick swing.  [1:53 PM, :20] 
  Playing on Slide James contemplates going down the slide and Lucy gives it a whirl.  [1:56 PM, 1:28]

  Climbing thru Tunnel Lucy climbs through a plastic tunnel.  [2:02 PM, :22] 
  Playing with Jordan Lucy and Jordan play with some sort of abacus thing.  And then, after being told about a Cookie Monster birthday cake, Lucy rushes off.  [2:05 PM, 1:47] 
  Family Gathering James enjoys a spin in his stroller, while the guests dig into the cake.  [2:08 PM, 1:43]

 Lucy by Playhouse Lucy wandering around by the playhouse.  And Joana explains about Lucy being sick the night before.  [4:00 PM, 1:49] 
  In the Garage Lucy wanders around in the garage, exploring.  [4:03 PM, 1:18] 
  Angry Face and Kennel Joana asks Lucy to demonstrate various "faces"—sad, angry and happy.  Lucy then plays around a bit in the dog kennel.

 Kirby's Big Stick When he can't find a tennis ball nearby, Kirby will fetch the first stick that he can find and ask to have it thrown.  Sometimes the sticks are tiny little twigs and sometimes they're pretty big branches.  [4:52 PM, 1:26]

 On Houseboat We spent the long weekend on a houseboat in Voyageurs.  Here are Joana and Lucy, playing an "opposites" card game on our first morning in the park.  [8:11 AM, 1:34] 
  Stuck As it turns out, our houseboat was stuck in the mud and we had to wait for a power boat to show up and pull us off.  In the meantime, more reading and playing.  [10:02 AM, 2:00] 
  Houseboat Tour We eventually got pulled out of the mud and were on our way again.  Here, I give a quick tour of the houseboat, with Joana at the helm.  [11:22 AM, 3:24] 
  Look Out for the Rocks Lucy tells Sean to "look out for the rocks" and "turn the wheel".  [12:16 PM, 2:19] 
  Doing Puzzle Later in the afternoon, we have another mini-adventure when the houseboat's outboard conks out and we again need rescuing.  This time, we're towed to a remote little beach, where we spend the rest of the weekend.  In this clip, we have a quiet evening (in spite of the generator) and Lucy plays with a puzzle.  [6:57 PM, 4:37]
