| We started our trip to Portugal on
Thursday the 3rd, flying from Mpls to London (via Northwest), then taking a
TAP (Air Portugal) flight from London to Lisbon. We were met at the
airport by Joana's mom, Irene, and cousin Ana Mafalda. We stayed with
Ana Mafalda and her husband Luis while in Lisbon and enjoyed our visit with
them immensely. |

Friday |
Waiting for Luggage | Lucy arrives in Portugal for the first time, and she and Joana wait for their luggage to show up at the airport in Lisbon. [8:56 AM, :16] |

| Grandma Irene | Lucy's Grandma Irene reacquaints herself with her granddaughter, chatting and investigating Lucy's new teeth. Joana, in the meantime, is signing the paperwork for our rental car. [9:34 AM, :51] |

Saturday was a big day for all of
us, since Lucy was getting baptised and we were eager to reconnect with
family and friends. Lucy's godparents, Rui and Fernanda, drove down
from Porto to join us for the Baptism and a dinner afterwards with the
entire family. |

Eating Breakfast | Lucy sits with Joana, having breakfast in cousin Ana's kitchen. It's 1:00 AM for us, so we're a bit tired. [7:00 AM, :52] |

| Apartment Views | A view of Ana's living room, followed by a panoramic view from one of her balconies. We look out over the Rio Tejo, and the Ponte 25 de Abril. Ana's apartment is at the West end of Lisbon, just East of Belém. [7:01 AM, 2:04] |

| Getting Ready | Rui and Fernanda, Lucy's Godparents, arrive at Ana's, and we begin getting ready for the evening Baptism. [4:28 PM, :33] |

| Baptism | The first part of Lucy's Baptism ceremony. [5:15 PM, 5:00] |

| Baptism 2 | The actual Baptism. Lucy was baptised with water from the River Jordan, which Tio Vitor brought back from Israel. Lucy didn't even wake up during the annointing. [5:36 PM, 2:51] |

| Signing Book | After the ceremony, we sign the Baptism book/paperwork while Lucy sleeps on, worn out. [5:47 PM, 2:18] |

On Tuesday, we headed north to Porto &
Braga. On the way, we stopped at Fatima and Batalha. |
