 Reading Books Lucy has always loved books and being read to.  More recently, she's learned to really enjoy turning the pages for herself.  In her bedroom, the lowest shelf is filled with books and she enjoys pulling every book out of the shelf and paging through each one.  [8:56 AM, 4:30] 
  Playing in Prescott We drove out to Prescott to visit Grandpa John & Grandma Claudette.  Here, Lucy plays on the floor in the living room, and models her summer hat.  Grandpa John looks on.  [3:52 PM, 2:37]

 Shoulders and Porch Lucy enjoys a ride on Mom's shoulders and then we all head out to the front porch to enjoy the nice weather.  [1:14 PM, 6:38] 
  In the Pool We bought a new inflatable pool so that Lucy could get a little bit of "swimming" time without going to the lake.  [2:13 PM, 1:22] 
  Jack with Ball Jack growls, while hanging on to a tennis ball--a favorite game.  Watch for Kirby circling in the background.  [2:39 PM, :34]

 Swimming in Lake We visited friends Rick, Pam and Sarah for the weekend at their cabin on Half Moon Lake.  The water was amazingly warm and we had a great time swimming.  As usual, Lucy loved the water.  [9:01 AM, 2:54] 
  Lucy & Sarah After some swimming, Sarah lets Lucy play with some of her toys, on the floor of the cabin.  Then Sarah gets her closeup.  [11:48 AM, 3:31] 
  Leaning on Mom Back from our visit to Rick & Pam's cabin, Lucy enjoys pulling herself to standing next to Mom, and leaning on her.  [4:54 PM, 1:34]

 Lucy Babbling More and more, Lucy "talks"--vocalizes lots of miscellaneous syllables, with great emotion and, occasionally, some gesturing with her hands.  Here she "talks" to Dad while she eats and also demonstrates her ability to say "mmmm" when food is near.  [7:02 PM, 1:20]

 Peekaboo On our way to the park, Lucy plays peekaboo, in the car.  She often initiates this game, lifting a blanket over her head, pulling it down quickly, and then breaking into a huge grin.  [5:59 PM, 1:55] 
  At the Park Lucy plays at the park in Prior Lake that we go to occasionally.  She enjoys a quick slide, some swinging, and (most of all) playing in the sand.  [6:13 PM, 4:45]

 Randy & Jordan Most of the family celebrated John's 72nd birthday, out in Prescott.  In this clip, Randy gets Jordan to spell the word "freak"–but it turns out now quite as expected.  [4:08 PM, 1:46]
