Arriving at Harvest Festival We met our friend Rick at the Scott Carver Threshers Harvest Festival in Jordan, MN.  Basically an old tractor show (but what wonderful old tractors).  [8:13 AM, 4:30]
Tractors This festival turned out to be fantastic--a smorgasbord of old tractors.  Sean's favorites are definitely the old (1940s) John Deere's.  In this clip, we visit "tractor row" while several old tractors drive by.  [8:24 AM, 2:19]
Lucy Admires Tractors Joana points out all the old tractors in "tractor row" to Lucy.  [8:37 AM, :54]
More Tractors We can't get enough of "tractor row", either just admiring all the old tractors, or watching the occasional one drive by.  Here we see a Farmall and then an old steam-powered tractor.  [8:42 AM, 1:36]
Steam Powered These old steam-powered tractors were very impressive.  I watched this guy work on this tractor for 10-15 mins, the whole time spent tweaking miscellaneous things while the tractor was running.  [9:11 AM, 2:23]
Johnny Popper A John Deere "A" passes us by, making the familiar pop-pop sound from its 2-cylinder engine.  [9:40 AM, :15]
Steam Powered One of the steam powered tractors drives past "tractor row".  [9:44 AM, :37]
Threshing A steam powered tractor is used to drive the thresher.  [10:08 AM, :58]
Crawler This guy was driving his grandson around on various tractors that he'd brought to the festival.  Here, he takes his grandson for a ride on a homemade tracked crawler (which I heard another collector disparage, because it wasn't authentic).  [10:11 AM, :30]
Sawmill In addition to the threshing machine, they were also running a little sawmill, powered by one of the steam powered tractors, and sawing up big logs.  The belt on the tractor powered not only the blade, but also the carriage that pulled the logs into the blade.  [10:37 AM, 2:15]
Johnny Popper Another old John Deere drives past.  [10:43 AM, 1:06]

Happy Birthday Uncle Mark lights the single candle and the whole family sings "Happy Birthday".  [3:27 PM, 1:03]
Opening Gifts Eating cake, and then Lucy opens her gifts.  [3:29 PM, 9:06]

Dewdrops Show We spent Saturday morning at the Renaissance Festival (Lucy's first visit).  And Lucy's first show was the Dewdrop Jugglers, at the Bakery Stage.  (Fitting, since the Dewdrops are friends of mine, and I spent a lot of time at the Bakery when I worked at Fest).  [9:58 AM, 4:24]

Lucy Walking A couple days after her first steps, Lucy is now walking everywhere in the house, never sitting still for more than a few minutes.  Here she walks all over the place, and plays with some toys in the family room.  [6:19 PM, 6:09]
