Lucy enjoys playing with her blocks
and occasionally enjoys climbing into the box and having us cover her
up with the blocks.

In the morning, we drove to a local
park so that we could all play for a little bit. This playground is
the best for miles around—huge!

We had a great weekend at home,
doing some yardwork in front. And Lucy helped out quite a bit, as can
be seen in these photos.

I've been working on Lucy's swingset
/ playhouse and I thought I'd ask Lucy to help me with putting together the
frame. I let her help me pull the trigger on the cordless drill to
tighten up some lag bolts. Then, when I turned my back, she picked up
the drill on her own and carried it to another bolt, to try tightening it.

One of Lucy's favorite activities
lately is putting stickers on sheets of paper. She's very organized,
putting all the stickers of a particular object grouped together. She
also enjoys putting some of the stickers on her face and arms (or on Daddy).

thing to start with and this was probably Lucy's first attempt to eat it out
of a bowl, unassisted—messy, but very nummy.

We drove out to Osceola, Wisconsin,
to ride on the Osceola and St. Croix Valley Railway, which runs an old
passenger train from Osceola, WI to Marine on St. Croix, MN. The train
was powered by an older diesel locomotive and pulled a series of old
passenger cars. The locomotive and cars are beautifully restored, by
the Minnesota Transportation Museum. The scenery from the old cars was
gorgeous, with the train running along the St. Croix river valley.
